Cornwall is not only rich in history and archaeology
but also in magic and mystery. From Neolithic standing stones,
Bronze Age burial chambers, Iron Age settlements, medieval villages
and churches, to 19th century tin workings and Victorian follies,
the sites themselves cannot be separated from the landscape
in which they exist. On the wild moors and cliff tops, if you
know where to look, the signs are easy to read. In the sheltered
valleys and woodlands they are often hidden and local knowledge
is needed to find them. |
 |
We help you find these special places and give
you an insight into their history and the legends and myths
that surround them. St Morwenna's holy well was not located
on the cliffs of Morwenstow as a source of water but as a means
of tapping into the energy of Mother Earth. St Nectan created
his Kieve in the glen that bears his name for the same reasons
that Bronze Age people thousands of years before carved their
signs into the rock here. The magic of Tintagel castle survives
to this day and you can still feel the presence of King Arthur
- come and experience it for yourself. |
